Look beauty film 2012
Nevertheless, as for the Golden Globes night we have to wait until January 13th, it is worth making a (beauty) balance of the best and the worst things that the last cinematographic season has brought us. In other words: among the looks we have seen on the big screen during the year 2012, which ones can we copy and which ones we have to avoid very carefully? Furthermore, as both Academy Awards and Golden Globes are divided into categories, we decided to do the same thing. Here they are.

WITCHES AND STEPMOTHERS
BEST LOOK: Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Huntsman. Ethereal and very nasty at the same time, she has a plum make up and a very sophisticated hairdo.
WORST LOOK: Julia Roberts in Mirror Mirror. Maybe it is because we compare her with Theron, but the beehive... Better not.
|
DARK GLASSES
BEST LOOK: Andrea Riseborough in W. E. What else is there to say, when you have to interpret a queen of style such as Wallis Simpson?
WORST LOOK: Penelope Cruz in To Rome with Love. Like Wallis, she has a great experience of love, but not as much for beauty. Hair highlights back to the 80s, not so convincing.

HAIR STYLE
BEST LOOK: Rooney Mara in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Gothic and chic, with her short and dark hair fringe: in one word, perfect.
WORST LOOK: Tilda Swinton in Moonrise Kingdom. Hair is red on the top, and grey underneath. Here we are talking about a wig, even with hairclips for fixing it.
|
OLD-FASHIONED MOOD
BEST LOOK: Jessica Chastain In The Help. Very beautiful in the natural version (redhead), Chastain is all the rage also in a Barbie-blonde version.
WORST LOOK: Emma Stone in The Help. She has it all: she is clever, stubborn, avant-garde. This curly hair in a Shirley Temple-style, however, does not suit her.
|
OLD-FASHIONED MOOD 2
BEST LOOK: Michelle Williams in My week with Marilyn. Honour where honour is due: to interpret the sexiest woman in the world is not an easy task, and Williams is good at it.
|
WORST LOOK: Emma Watson in My week with Marilyn. Maybe we got used to see her in a “short” version, but anyway, we don’t really like her with that so-so hair fringe.
|
VERY BEST HAIR LOOK: Tea Falco in Me and you. Wild hairdo, that is anyway very sensual, half way between Lagona Blu and Woodstock.
|
VERY BEST MAKE-UP LOOK: Berenice Marlohe in Skyfall. Black eye shadow and dark lipstick for a look that heads to the East.
