Picasso returns to Milan with a major retrospective: over 200 works including paintings, drawings, sculptures and photographs. The exhibition is curated by Anne Baldassari, internationally recognised as one of the most important experts on the artist and curator of the Musée National Picasso in Paris, where the world's largest collection of works by the Spanish artist is kept.

The anthology represents a true chronological excursus of Picasso’s production, comparing the techniques and forms of expression with which the author has tried his hand in his long career, an uninterrupted evolution of the artistic expression that runs parallel to the history of twentieth century art: amongst the many masterpieces in the exhibition are "La Celestina" (1904), "Man with the mandolin" (1911), "Portrait of Olga" (1918), "Two women Running on the Beach" (1922 ), "Paul as Harlequin" (1924), "Portrait of Dora Maar" and "The Suppliant" (1937).

Also present will be documentation on the historic exhibition of 1953 when, for the first time in Italy, the large canvas of "Guernica" was exhibited at the Palazzo Reale (1937).

Exhibition curated by: Department of Culture, Fashion and Design of the Municipality of Milan, Palazzo Reale 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo 24 ORE Catalogo 24 ORE Cultura.
