SAME TIME, SAME PLACE: For the first time since the event bowed in 2009, this year Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Milan will coincide with the city’s women’s fashion week, kicking off Sept. 17, the day before the first shows. The shopping event has spread across the globe, and participating countries now include Brazil, China, Germany and South Korea. New York City is not partaking in this year's VFNO.
“We are proud to continue to give our support to the fashion industry, which represents one of the most important economic sectors, especially in our country,” said Franca Sozzani, editor in chief of Italian Vogue. “Having reached its fifth edition, by now the event is well-established in [Milan], and involves thousands of people. In addition, Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is also an occasion to support concrete projects benefiting the cities and communities we are a part of.”
Last year, funds raised during Italy’s VFNO events in Milan, Rome and Florence supported citizens of northern Italian cities hard hit by a string of earthquakes in April and May.

Los Angeles, California-based photographer Viktorija Pashuta has always wondered what it would be like if ladies dressed up as internet browsers—and she decided to embark on that idea.
Created with the help of make-up artists Tokiko Inoue and Heiddis Ros, hair stylist Tre Major and stylist Chalia Young the fashion editorial piece she calls “What If Girls Were Internet Browsers” for Fashion Affair Magazine, features ladies in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari themed outfits.
The outfits are a visual resemblance of the five different web browsers featuring the various colors schemes, down to the specific elements and details.
Pashuta wrote, “I have tried to reflect the style of each internet browser through the means of clothes, shoes, accessories, props and poses itself.”
She also added that her friend Juli described the outfit that takes after Internet Explorer is “flashy”; Firefox, “sexy”; Opera, “elegant”; Chrome, “utilitarian”; and Safari, “trendy/hip”.

What do we feel like rocking tonight? Anything but old-school eveningwear. Karlie Kloss teams up with Daft Punk to prove just how inspired a night on the town this month can be - whatever your generation.
“Is that really Daft Punk?” The refrain was echoed in several languages on a recent afternoon as a burgeoning swarm of tourists and local professionals scrambled for their iPhones to capture the electronic-music duo decked out in their full-robot-helmet regalia and strolling down West Forty-second Street with Karlie Kloss. Soon the mob began blocking traffic, attracting the attention of three of New York’s Finest, who had one very direct question for Daft Punk: “Can we take a picture with you?” With a silent nod, the robots obliged—and within minutes, Instagram was inundated with hashtagged snapshots of our shoot.
Random Access Memories, which features disco legends Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers alongside Pharrell Williams and Julian Casablancas, has been widely praised for its ability to look backward to move forward. “In 20 years, some of the collaborators on this album might not be here anymore,” de Homem-Christo says, comparing their skills to those of a couturier. “It’s an opportunity for us to pay them homage.

Before unveiling Random Access Memories — Daft Punk’s first album in eight years and their first studio album to date—the electronic duo sat down for an exclusive interview with Sky Ferreira for CR last May. After the album’s profound success, we meet again to present a digital love story inspired not by “memories” but by impressions of the future, symbolic of Daft Punk’s new approach to music in the digital age.
“This album is about technology going toward humanity, in a world where humanity is going towards technology. We tried to capture robotic emotions with music, replacing this time our electronic machines by real human beings. After having made three albums, we were looking for a fourth album we had not yet done. We’ve been making music as Daft Punk for 20 years, and we are always trying to feel like beginners. Going in a studio for the first time felt exciting because it was something new. With Random Access Memories, we ultimately decided we wanted to do a record we could not have done at home.” – Daft Punk

“Still Life,” an exhibition of new works by David LaChapelle, addresses the fleeting nature of humanity, fame, celebrity and power. On view at both Paul Kasmin Gallery locations in New York, this body of work began in 2009, when LaChapelle learned of the break-in and vandalism of the National Wax Museum in Dublin, Ireland, and was granted permission to photograph the destroyed figures. LaChapelle continued photographing figures at two additional wax museums – one in California and one in Nevada – to complete his vision of the collection.
"A friend suggested I come by and see the vandalism. I saw the heads in the first wax museum in Dublin and knew instantly I wanted to photograph them as series."
"The wax skin also seemed to age and decay as well. In these figures, I always loved how popular culture and those beautiful faces on our cinema screens gives us pleasure, what I question is the way in which we seem to enjoy our once beloved idols fall from grace and even be destroyed".

MINNIE style invasion again!
Heroin disney world's most popular continues to influence the female wardrobe with her famous ear headgear.
Cara Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dressed as Minnie Mouse for a special edition of LOVE magazine as part of its 10th edition of the 'emission Sweetie', which was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
The pictures will be shown in the autumn/winter edition of the magazine.
LOVE's Editor-in-Chief, Katie Grand, who styled the shoot, said: 'As work began on this issue, that famous Herb Ritts shot of Madonna popped up on my Instagram feed, the one where she’s in bed wearing the Minnie Mouse ears.
'And I’ve always been a big fan of Minnie's style and that polka-dot bow. So we set about getting my favourite girls in Minnie Mouse ears that had been enhanced by the likes of Miu Miu and Jake and Dinos Chapman for Louis Vuitton.
'But that wasn’t enough; we had to get Minnie Mouse herself in on the act too. So she flew across the Atlantic all the way from Disneyworld to a studio in North London so we could shoot her for the cover.'
